Elmore County Highway Department crews have been working on Coosada Parkway the last few days in preparation for a resurfacing project to start this week. Below is a statement from the County Commission office on this project:The Elmore County Highway Department will begin a milling project on Coosada Parkway this week. The project is expected to last no longer than a week. The project entails a contractor milling the top surface of Coosada Parkway and allowing the Highway Department to retain all of the millings to use throughout the county on dirt roads and shoulder drop offs. The milling is part of a larger resurfacing project planned for Coosada Parkway in the upcoming weeks. The resurfacing project will include new striping and markings..
