Deatsville:

Deatsville Fire Department Community Room – 6930 AL Hwy 143, Deatsville, AL 36022 – Monday – Wednesday

Eclectic:

Eclectic Town Hall Police Department Entrance – 145 Main Street, Eclectic, AL 36024

Harden Street Church – 425 Harden St. Eclectic, AL 36024 – Will open on January 1, 2018 and after 6:00 P.M. Tuesday and Wednesday – if needed

Tallassee:

Tallassee Police Station – 214 Barnett Blvd, Tallassee, AL 36078

Wetumpka:

Wetumpka Police Department – 208 Marshall Street, Wetumpka, AL 36092

Notice of Road Re-Opening from CSX Railroad

Benchmark Consulting for CSX Railroad states:

Alabama River Parkway has re-opened as of 7:30 A.M. this morning, December 29, 2018.

Benchmark Consulting, CSX Railroad, Elmore County Highway Department and Elmore County EMA thank you for your patiences during these rail crossing repairs.

CSX has notified the Elmore County Highway Department they will begin a maintenance project on the Alabama River Parkway crossing today.

We understand this crossing could be closed through Friday 12-29. Detour signs will be in place but please use caution in this area and adjust travel times during this period.

Elmore County resident Cameron Mercer, (My Nephew) is starting his second year of being on the Auburn University Bass Fishing Team.

Cameron has been featured in a long article in the January publication of the Alabama Outdoor News magazine.

Christmas will  bring two changes to normal county government operations:

In observance of Christmas, Elmore County Government Offices will be closed  starting December 22, 2017 and will reopen for normal business December 26th,  2017.

This is a service alert message the County Commission received from Advanced Disposal:

Happy Holidays! To give our team members time with family and friends, there will be no service on Monday, December 25 and Monday, January 1. Collection will be delayed the rest of the week by one day. Our office will also be closed, but will reopen for normal business hours the next day. From our family to yours, we wish you a joyous holiday and a Happy New Year!

Countywide cleanup day is today, Saturday December 16th
Trucks will be at these locations from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The pick-up sites are for residents to bring amounts of trash larger than the normal residential trash container will accommodate.

Limbs smaller than four feet and no more than six inches in diameter will be accepted but it is not designed to accept trash or clean-up debris from contractors. Items such as batteries, appliances, oils and gases, paints or thinners will not be accepted.

Emerald Mountain Equestrian Center

Kent – Old Highway Department

Town of Coosada

This is the work session agenda for the Commission meeting 12-11-17.
The Elmore County Commission meets on the 2nd Floor of the Elmore County Courthouse. Work Session starts at 5:00 p.m. and Commission meeting soon after normally about 6:00 p.m.

Elmore County – The Elmore County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), in coordination with the Elmore County Highway Department, has issued the following statement for all of Elmore County:

RESUMPTION OF TRAVEL STATEMENT:  Effective 8:00 a.m.,  December 9, 2017 conditions have improved and the previous IMPASSABLE TRAVEL ADVISORY for the county-maintained Elmore County roads and bridges, has been lifted. Because county and city officials cannot guarantee the conditions everywhere, drivers are reminded to use caution while traveling.
