Crappie Masters Tournament Starts Today in Elmore County
Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters All American Tournament will take place in Elmore County starting today May 11 through May 12. Fisherman from across the U.S will participate in this two-day qualifying event with weigh-ins taking place on Lake Jordan at Bonners Point at 3:30pm both days. Teams from across the Country started pre-fishing the Alabama River and Lake Jordan preparing for the tournament last week.
The Alabama Wildlife Federation will hold a Kids Fishing Rodeo at the AWF Pond at Lanark on Saturday May 12, Registration 8:00-9:00 and Rodeo 9:00 -10:00. The Elmore County Commission, through the Elmore County Economic Development Authority, is glad to be a part of this tourism event and we welcome these fishing teams and families to Elmore County.
