Mercer Appointed to a National Association of Counties Policy Committee

Below is information the County Commission has released on my recent appointment to the National Association of Counties (NACo) Economic Development and Workforce Development Policy Steering Committee.

I am honored to have been selected by NACo leadership to be a member of this policy committee and look forward to working with my fellow committee members to ensure the voice of conservative values are heard that many people of Elmore County and Alabama have.

As always I appreciate the continued support in my effort to improve Elmore County for all citizens.

Commissioner Mercer Appointed to National Steering Committee

Commissioner Bart Mercer was recently appointed to the National Association of County Officials (NACo) Community, Economic and Workforce Development Policy Steering Committee. On this Steering Committee, Commissioner Mercer will play a vital role in shaping and influencing federal policy that has impact on Elmore County and our state. NACo represents our nation’s 3,069 counties on Capitol Hill.

Commissioner Mercer’s background as a business owner and as a past member of our county’s Economic Development Authority (ECEDA) make him a prime candidate for this role. “ I am honored to be able to represent Elmore County and Alabama on this Steering Committee. I look forward to the opportunity to serve and to share ideas that will have a positive benefit to our county, state and nation” stated Commissioner Mercer.
