Elmore County Government Offices will be closed Monday, June 4, 2018 in observation of Jefferson Davis Birthday.
Below is a statement issued by Elmore County EMA concerning Cypress Road in Deatsville being closed due to the heavy rain that has occurred.
As of 8:25 A.M. Thursday, May 31, 2018
According to the Elmore County Highway Department: Be advised that Cypress Road in the Deatsville Community, from Ingram Road to Deatsville Highway, is closed until further notice due to water over the road.
We will update as soon as we have confirmation from the Elmore County Highway Department that the roadway is passable.
The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is currently in the planning stages of a project that would involve adding additional lanes to Highway 14 from where the four lane presently ends in Millbrook to Coosada Parkway in Elmore.
As a part of this planning process ALDOT will hold a Public Involvement Meeting on May 31, 2018 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the Airport Road Intermediate School in Coosada. The gathering will be an “open house” format where ALDOT representatives will be present to discuss the project and there will be an opportunity for citizens to provide feedback as well.
If you have any question please contact me.
Thanks
