Below are changes in County Government Office and Collection Facility Hours of Operation  and Trash Pick up schedule  due to the Thanksgiving holiday:

Change in County Government Office Hours of Operation
In observance of Thanksgiving, Elmore County Government Offices will close at noon on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 and will remain closed through Friday, November 28, 2025 and will reopen for normal business Monday December 1, 2025.

Joint City/County Collection Facility
The joint City/County Collection Facility will be closed to the public
at 11:00am on Wednesday November 26, 2025
and will remain closed through Monday December 1, 2025.
The facility is scheduled to reopen at 7:00am Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

Meridian Waste Change in Trash Route Pick Up Day
The week of Thanksgiving 2025:
All routes will be run as scheduled on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
No cans will be emptied on Thursday, November 27, Thanksgiving Day.
Cans on the Thursday pick up route will be emptied on Friday, November 28.
Cans on the Friday pick up route will be emptied on Saturday, November 29.

Elmore County Government Offices and the joint City/County Collection Facility will be closed Tuesday November, 11  2025 in observance of Veterans Day and will reopen for normal business Wednesday November, 12 2025.

Trash Pick-Up
Meridian Waste  will not be operating in Elmore County on
Monday, September 1, 2025  in observance of Labor Day.
Collection routes will run one day behind with operations resuming
Tuesday, September 2, 2025 and running through Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Joint City/County Collection Facility
The joint City/County Collection Facility will be closed to the public
Saturday, August 30, 2025.
The facility is scheduled to reopen at 7:00am Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Elmore County Government Offices
Elmore County Government offices will be closed in observance of Labor Day  on Monday September 1, 2025.

On Friday July 18, 2025, contractors will begin work on two road projects for the County Commission.

– Rose Hill Road will be resurfaced from Grandview Road to Coosada Road

– Airport Road will be resurfaced from Hwy 14 to Coosada Road

Federal dollars are funding the majority of these two projects.

The resurfacing portion of these projects are scheduled to be completed the first part of August with striping finished by the end of September.

Resurfacing our roads is an ongoing effort by the County Commission to ensure we preserve and protect the largest investment the citizens of Elmore County have made which is our county transportation system.
